Another great news! We are bringing the 4th in a row. Headliner – this year’s Paradise Open Air! And that will be Acraze!
Acraze was born in 1995 in Staten Island, New York. His real name is Charlie Duncker. He is an American DJ, record producer and EDM composer.
Acraze began his career in his senior year of high school. His dream career at the time was to become a DJ. His first self-produced single, Pull Up, was released in 2017 on the 4B MACA sublabel. He started out as a producer of trap and dubstep style bass sounds, but over the years he changed his music to house music.
He perfected his music during the COVID-19 pandemic in the United States. In 2020, he released Marco Polo, a tech house track on the compilation Illegal Mixtape Vol. 3. from Malay. He played his first pure house set as a DJ on New Year’s Day 2021. Eventually, he began experimenting with old cuts and reworked several tracks, including Funky Town by Lipps, Inc.

In 2021, he scored a worldwide hit with a new version of R&B group Cherish’s Do It to It. The track was first played in Orlando on New Year’s Day 2021 and has since been featured in sets by DJ Snake, Malaa and other well-known DJs. DJ Snake called the song “the song of the summer” during a performance in Brooklyn. The single version was released on August 20, 2021 and has since gone viral. DJ Zedd used the song during his set at EDC Las Vegas and mixed it with the popular theme song from Squid Game.
The song reached number three in the German chart and was also in the top 10 in Austria and in the top 20 in Switzerland and the UK.
