Introducing the second headliner of our 3rd Paradise Open Air!
Dear fans, it’s time to introduce the next musical wizard of the Paradise Open Air 2024 festival – and that’s KAAZE!
If you are a lover of electronic music you must know this name. KAAZE, proper name Mick Kastenholt, is a young Swede from Helsingborg whose career started to skyrocket in 2012 when Tiësto noticed him , appreciated his music and started collaborating with him.
The journey into the world of music began long before this pivotal moment in his career. At the age of four, KAAZE started playing piano and drums, and little did he know then that a love of music had been ignited in him, which would later manifest itself in his musical life.
At the age of 16, KAAZE’s musicality led to the discovery of house music, when his love for DJing and electronic music was awakened. KAAZE’s early production was driven by a passion for melodic and progressive elements.
His music crossed genre boundaries and fused infectious melodies with powerful drops. It was this early sound in his repertoire of styles that launched his career, first with Tiësto and then with Hardwell. Subsequently, in 2016, KAAZE signed a deal with the label Revealed Recordings.
Fast forward a few years, KAAZE’s career has expanded and he has toured all over the world, has millions of streams and even made his way into the Top100DJs Poll at 83rd place. And collaborations with Steve Aoki and Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter John Martin, for the single “Whole Again,” blew KAAZE to new heights.
Last year 2023 KAAZE again jumped to 59th place in the world’s biggest music poll. Another of the milestones of his career was his second album MICK, which features KAAZE as an artist and Mick as a person.
After the release of this cathartic full-length album, his path began to take a different direction. Consisting of a mixture of techno, progressive and electro elements, KAAZE revealed a more minimal and reflective approach that harked back to the earlier sounds of his production with an emphasis on club music, reinventing everything from harder sounds to the structure of more refined melodic and lyrically based tracks.
This new path opened up new but familiar grounds for him to expand his work. The first iterations of this ‘new sound’ were his late 2023 tracks, such as his pulsating remix of Calvin Harris and Sam Smith’s ‘Desire’ with longtime collaborator Steve Aoki, as well as his solo single ‘Last Call’ on Dim Mak Records and his full-length remake of Tiësto’s iconic anthem ‘Flight 643’.

With a passion for creating dynamic and energetic tracks, KAAZE’s inimitable and forward-thinking charm has sealed his position as an undisputed star of the future.
And we will enjoy it together at the Paradise Open Air Festival 2024!!
